HOW
TO REACH THE PAYS
DE BORT-ARTENSE ?
By car :
Bort
is located between the motorways A20
and A75 in proximity of the A89 under construction.
You can arrive :
- from Clermont-Ferrand by taking the RN89
till Laqueuille and then the D922
- from Aurillac also by the same D922 passing through
Mauriac
- also from Brive by the RN89 passing through Tulle
and then the D979 somes kilometers away from Ussel

- by a street
running through the Cantal, named « Transvolcanienne »
which has just been repaired and enables you to join the
A75 from Saint Flour, passing by Murat, Riom ès Montagne
and Bort at the A89 (entrance Ussel Ouest) |

train :
- at the station of Ussel,
a bus service enables to reach Bort several times per
day in 30 minutes (ask for the schedule at the SNCF
of the Tourist Office of Bort-Artense)
- gare routière (bus station) of Clermont-Ferrand
(shuttle service with SNCF station)
a bus enables you to reach Bort twice a day
in less than two hours
By plane :
The next airport is Clermont-Ferrand.
The airports of Brive and Aurillac are also
in proximity (see above-mentioned indications to reach
Bort by car or bus).
For private airplanes, the aérodrome d'Ussel-Bort in
Thalamy (phone 0033 (0)5 55 72 18 57) is equipped
with a hard runway of 1,350 m allowing landing of rather
important bi-motors (runway beacon ULT frequence 416,
covered plane parking, supply 100 LL, reception 7 days/7)
