In
the Parc Régional des Volcans d'Auvergne, the
plateau of Artense, the gorges of the Dordogne and the
Rhue, the valleys of the Tarentaine and the Sumène appear
to the visitors like a magnificent postcard land. Above,
after having passed through villages with roofs of lauze
(stones out of the Dordogne) cowered against their Roman
churches, and some fir-woods, the promenader reaches
prairies in a virgin nature where you respire pure air.
